Optional Power Source Connection:
 Regulated ± 5 Power Transformers		 The FloodLED Floodlight comes with raw wire leads to be spliced onto a power supply. When used this way, the plug at the end of the power supply cable (as sold below) would be cut off*. To use a power supply with plugs will require a socket (coax power jack with 2.1mm pin) spliced to the FloodLED. Power jacks are available through electronics stores.   
[*Do not cut off plug with the power supply connected to power. Separate the two leads and cut each wire individually to avoid any residual current.]

How to connect the LED 12 volt DC Floodlight unit
to our regulated 120 volt AC to 12 volt DC power transformer
  * Problems saving the .IES file?

Red and Black wires exit from the GDL002-. Floodlight unit.
The RED wire is Positive (+) and BLACK wire is the Negative (-) lead

To connect the GDL002 12-volt DC Floodlight unit to our 120 volt AC to 12 volt DC power transformer, like our part PLT-1003-303:

  1. Cut the white connector off the adaptor our part ADPT-STP-001.
  2. Strip about quarter inch off the insulation from the red and black wire and then connect the RED and BLACK wires to the like color wires on the GDL002- 12-volt DC LED Floodlight unit.
  3. Use either electrical tap or wire nuts to cover the exposed bare wire on each Positive (+) and BLACK (-) wire. Do not let the Positive (+) and BLACK (-) wire come in contact with each other, do not let the bare + and - wires touch each other.
  4. Plug the connector from the 120 volt AC to 12 volt DC power transformer into the connector ( ADPT-STP-001) adaptor that you connected to the GDL002-. 12 volt DC Floodlight unit.
  5. Plug the 120 volt AC to 12 volt DC power transformer into a wall outlet, the GDL002-. 12 volt DC Floodlight unit should now light-up.


In Microsoft Explorer:

  1. Right click the .IES hyperlink, select "Save Target As".
  2. In the "Save As" dialog box, navigate to where you wish to save on your computer.
  3. Then in the bottommost "Save as type" box, select "All Files".
  4. Click "Save".

In Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Right click the .IES hyperlink, select "Save Link As".
  2. In the "Save As" dialog box, navigate to where you wish to save on your computer.
  3. Make certain "All Files" appears in the "Save as type" box.
  4. Click "Save".
